Cannabis has a medical history of more than 2,000 years in India. Referred as ‘Vijaya’, a critical component of numerous Ayurvedic forumlations, the plant based drinks are consumed in various parts of India during religious celebrations. We will discuss the health outcomes of Cannabis vis-a-vis other banned substances, Tobacco, and Alcohol and assess the potential benefits vs adversities of Legalization of Cannabis in India.
